Today each student made a T-shirt design featuring a seabird. The kids were impressed by how well the stencils worked to make crisp designs.
Marge came back today to finish her mobile. She seemed very happy with the floating Gavirooshkis.
We had a reading of “The Little Fox “and talked about each seabird as we followed the fox’s adventures in bird land. We followed up the reading by coloring foxes and Tufted Puffins. Bianca’s puffin, complete with mossy rocks, was particularly attractive.
Everyone was very excited to make a feeding shorebird toy, just like the kids on St. Paul made. The shorebirds plunged up and down as they probed for food.
