Our final Seabird Camp activity was making Tufted Puffin Planes! We talked about how the puffin swims easier in the water than it flies in the air. We used materials like duct tape, paper clips, and popsicle sticks to try to adapt the bodies of our puffins to fly the farthest. Julia’s consistently went further than any other puffin. She had a popsicle stick spine and a paper clip right in front of the wings.
