SECOND DAY!

Today was another awesome day at Seabird Camp, packed with learning, creativity, and outdoor fun!

We started the afternoon  by turning our cookie tree wood pieces into necklaces , everyone’s looked so unique and special! After that, we dove into a lesson all about seabird diets. To really understand how birds find food, we headed outside for an exciting activity where campers raced to grab as many “fish” as they could to fill up their bird bellies, just like real seabirds!

Next, we went up to Ridge Wall, where we met with Frank and Evan, our awesome BioTechs. We talked about seabirds, checked out the cliffs full of nesting birds, spotted some eggs, and even saw seals hanging out below. It was amazing to see wildlife up close and learn from the experts.

Back at the school, we got creative again by making bird-themed bookmarks and filling out our books with drawings and notes about our full-bellied birds from earlier. Campers also had the chance to sign up for the Seabird Camp play, and we’re so excited to see how that comes together!

It was a day full of learning, movement, and fun and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
