Count Down:  Only two days until the start of Seabird Camp!

Preparations have been rolling along here on St. Paul. We continued to build paper mache masks and props for our plays.  It has been quite the workshop down at the school, with kids dropping by to help out.  Marjorie finished drawing seabirds on the tote-bags and started doing “No Rats!” drawings on the flip side.  Tonia also gave Marjorie some iMovie training to produce a short movie for this year’s camp.

Chauncey has been helping at the school and working on building three noose carpets for Least Auklet capture with the University of Alaska, Anchorage research team. It was funny, he put the fox mask on while he was making the noose-carpet, and said “Look-the fox thought of a new way to catch auklets!” Chauncey has also been getting a good amount of time in the field. He and a couple of other kids experienced a successful auklet capture session with Veronica, Misty, Kendra, and Tonia at Zapadni. fox finds a new way to catch LEAU
