Researcher spotlight: Dr. Alexis Will

Hello! My name is Alexis Will, I grew up in Sitka, Alaska and now live in Fairbanks, Alaska. I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where I work with other researchers to study how seabirds respond to changes in the marine environment. In my current position I am working on two projects focused on recent seabird die-offs in Alaska. These projects involve lab work, field work, learning new lab techniques that I hope to teach to people living in Savoonga (St. Lawrence Island), working with undergraduate students, and communicating the study findings to communities in coastal Alaska.
