It’s been a stormy weekend, and a good time to catch up on things.

Maurice, Thomas, and Ann met on Saturday afternoon and entered Rachael’s kittiwake resighting data on the commuter, worked on thank you cards, and made peanut butter bait balls for the rat-traps.

We then got everything ready for t-shirt painting.

The rest of the kids arrived, along with Marge, and the Fish and Wildlife summer crew (Laney, Sarah, and Shannon). We had a full house.

Everyone had their own t-shirt design. Tristen drew multiple birds, Gillian’s puffin had big (pink) eye-lashes, and Bianca drew a beautiful horned puffin with a keep-out rat sign. On the back of Bianca’s t-shirt was an acrostic puffin poem:

Popular
Unique
Fluffy
Fun
Intelligent
Nautical

Tristen, Waylan, Bianca, Karin, and Ann met up in the evening for knitting.

The R/V Tiglax arrived late Sunday night, with food and supplies for the FWS monitoring crew.

There was a great welcoming crew at the landing slip, and lots of strong arms formed a chain to offload boxes onto the truck. Maurice and Thomas provided some great muscle power and energy.
